What is the function of the loop of Henle?
It’s function is to reabsorb water and important nutrients in the filtrate.
It is present in the nephron,functional unit of kidney. The descending part of the loop is not permeable to nutrients but water only.The ascending is opposite of this.osmosis: takes place to reabsorb water in the descending part. whereas active transport for nutrients reabsorption.
