Choose one of the two topics for this assignment:

Topic 1:  Deforestation caused by cutting down trees for use as fuel is a major environmental problem in many countries. Research the Internet and print sources and write a two-page report on the topic. Comment on the possibility of using other fuels to preserve the forests.

Topic 2:  United Nations Environmental Program (UNEP) has evolved policies to limit effects of hazardous waste on human health. Research either the Rotterdam or the Basel convention, where methods of dealing of hazardous wastes were discussed. Write a two-page report about the issues discussed and decisions made at the convention.

This paper should adhere to APA style standards including the following:
