1. The Unites States imports oil that comes at a high cost and is dependent on foreign governments to meet energy needs. Do you think it is worth the political, economic, and environmental risks to use the United State’s domestic resources in Alaska and offshore? Why?
2. While the US has oil reserves & natural deposits of oil, it imports most used oil. What might the consequences be if oil imports were disrupted or stopped? Do you think the US is prepared for these situations? Why?
3. The United States consumes a large quantity of oil. Do you think oil provides more benefits as an energy source in comparison to other energy sources? Why?
