The Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD), science homework help

The Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) is a non profit organization in the United States that seeks to stop drunk driving, support those affected by drunk driving, prevent underage drinking and strive for stricter impaired driving policies. This program was founded  by a mother whose daughter was killed by a drunk driver, which led to the creation of the MADD program. “The MADD program has evolved into one of the most influential and widely supported non-profit organization in America” (Madd.org) The MADD program has contributed to social change by law enforcement cracking down on drunk driving. Bar owners are encouraged to cut their patrons off if they suspect they are too intoxicated to drive home. It is suggested that a cab be called for the individual.  Drunk or even buzzed driving is being strictly enforced, and law enforcement are handing out serious consequences if caught driving while intoxicated. “Granting victims a right to be heard at points in the criminal process that impact their interests benefits both the victim and the criminal justice process” (Davis et al 2013)
