Introduction to CNC machines

CNC, the acronym for Computer Numerical Control, refers to a machine that controls tools programmatically with the use of a computer. This machine involves the dimensions x, y and z which makes it a 3-dimensional sketching machine. These dimensions are computerized using a software called CAD/CAM, which is short for “computer aided design, computer aided manufacturing,” and generates a code known as the G-code. The G-code uses different devices to display a certain design or a writing on wood in a short period of time. The resulting designs are very precise.
