With working in family law, two reports that are used within my office are the Child protective reports and the police reports for the incident that happened in a child neglect case. Barics (2008) stated that when a case of suspected child abuse or neglect is reported, ACS (Administration for Children’s Services) or CPS (Child protective Services) will investigate. When this investigation is completed the reporting agency will prepare a report of the facts that have been found within the investigation. Our office will help with these cases if there is possible neglect charges that are unfair or unjust. At this point we will assist with reuniting the families that should be reunited.
