In the molecular orbital representation of benzene, how many molecular orbitals are present?

In the molecular orbital representation of benzene, how many π molecular orbitals are present?  That was the question I got wrong on a quiz, however, the available answers 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 are all incorrect. I asked my teacher and he said “go study more.” I thought there are 6  molecular orbital in benzene. 3 bonding and 3 * nonbonding. Am I incorrect about this? If so, then how. Please assist.
