How does mobility differ in organizations with innovative career paths?

Student response

In most careers the mobility typically moves up and you progress with your career within that company. This means that an employee can only move one direction. Similar to the military where one will pick a special job and move up in rank as they progress throughout their career. Times have changed in the military and soldiers are allowed more lateral moves if they’re willing to put in the work. A recruiter can move around in their career changing jobs with a similar position from recruiter to recruitment supervisor or training manager then promoting to personnel manager in charge of a division.
